This evening saw the annual Tree of Light Ceremony take place. Hosted by Rev Lynne At Crewe Cemetery. It was an opportunity for those who have lost someone, or something be it a relationship, a home or stability. Anything be it big or small that brought meaning and joy to their lives and now mourn a loss. The lighting of the tree and candles in memory were a poignant reminder that although people leave our earthly lives their memory and the light they brought to our lives always shines on and they live on in our hearts. A light no darkness can overcome.
A special thanks to our very own Rev Lynne for leading the service and to all those involved. The Tree of Light will be lit up to the 12th night of Christmas and then the stars removed.
