Wow! What an evening!
On Friday 23rd of November Crewe Town Council put in a fantastic evening of lights and entertainment in Crewe Town Centre.
As part of the celebration a fantastic video mapping show was projected onto the Municipal Buildings following the official Christmas light switch on by Cllr Brian Roberts. The light show finished with a brilliant Firework display by Blitz!
Spark! a street band with drummers and dancers headed up a lantern parade which began on Lyceum Square and finished on Memorial Square.
Other events during the evening included a Winter Christmas Market and Santa’s Grotto.
Christ Church, an iconic building that forms part of our parish was also involved. ‘Peal’, a laser controlled installation allowed visitors to have a go at virtual bell ringing within the church grounds. Over 1,500 people took part in this activity.
A fantastic success for the town! The Municipal projection show can be viewed all the way up to December 23rd, so if you couldn’t make the event you’ve still got plenty of time to see it!
